ELITE (Enhanced Leaders Inspiring Through Excellence) was created to empower and uplift women and young girls around the world. Founded on the principles of academic excellence, community involvement and higher level thinking, ELITE makes it a priority to ignite passion and leave a life-long positive impact on the lives of many. WITH THE FOUNDER OF ELITE 23 (THAT'S ME, VALENCIA, BTW ) :)
What made you start Elite?
I've always been very passionate about giving back and making a difference in the world. I actually started my first organization when I was in the 2nd grade so once I got to college I know I had to do something to make an impact. I wanted to build a space that was safe both women at the collegiate level and the younger generation as well.
What are some of the things Elite does for the community?
Elite hosts numerous events and service projects throughout the year. From volunteering with oncology patients to putting on a HUGE academic pageant for young girls, we almost do it all! Check us out online to see the details of our projects
How has Elite changed your life?
I don't think I have enough space to answer this question! In short, Elite has given me everything I never knew I needed. I've learned so much from so many great women and young girls and I am so thankful!
Talk about one of your favorite moments within the organization.
If I had to pull one from my long book, it would definitely be when Amiah Gish (11), won second place in our academic pageant. Her emotions were priceless and at that moment I was reminded of why we do what we do.
What plans do you have for the future of the Org?
So many huge plans! In the summer we will complete our first mission trip in the Dominican Republic so I'm beyond excited for that.
